CEJEパートナーがNTTデータのオフィスでメタバースを訪問
Last Thursday, November 10th, the Japan-Spain Business Circle organized an afterwork event together with its partner NTT DATA, with the purpose of holding a networking session with a training on the metaverse. A presentation was given on the metaverse and its implications for the future of companies and ended with a practical experience with augmented reality glasses.
The event began with the welcome and initial presentation by Mr. Xavier Rovira, Managing Partner of NTT DATA in Catalonia, who thanked the Japan-Spain Business Circle for making this afterwork possible. Mr. Rovira, current director of the Barcelona office, explained that this is the second largest of NTT DATA Europe & Latam in business and number of consultants, with about 4,000 people working in it. The project for the new headquarters was initiated by Ms. Susana Serra, partner of NTT DATA and member of the Board of Directors of CEJE, during her tenure as director of the Barcelona office, and finally materialized by Mr. Rovira. Both were present at the afterwork event and participated in the presentation of NTT DATA’s facilities, exemplifying the company’s dedication to talent and technology.
After the welcome, Mr. Manel Martorana, Head of Digital Experience Europe, gave a lecture on the myths and realities of the metaverse concept, explaining its complexity in a simple and tangible way. Mr. Martorana explained how the metaverse is already being developed in various sectors today, and shared forecasts on how soon we will see it implemented at the enterprise level. It was at this time that all participants had the opportunity to test the entry into the metaverse created by NTT DATA. In this practical demonstration, attendees were able to put on augmented reality glasses and get into a small vision of a future potential with NTT DATA.
