The Japan-Spain Business Circle (CEJE) has been invited by the organizers of Expoquimia to close the Japan Day, one of the most important international activities of the largest chemical industry exhibition in southern Europe. The event will take place on June 4, 2026 at the International Meeting Point at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Vía venue.
The closing speech will be given by Jorge Lasheras, President of CEJE, entitled “The chemical sector, the driving force behind Japanese investment in Spain”. In it, Lasheras will highlight the lasting imprint that Japanese chemical companies have left on the Spanish economy over almost three decades: their transversal presence in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, process engineering and specialty chemicals, their contribution to exports and their integration into the national industrial fabric.
