Following the recent elections in Japan, marked by significant economic and geopolitical challenges, Jorge Lasheras, president of the Japan-Spain Business Circle (CEJE), participated in an interview with Capital Radio to analyze the country’s political and economic landscape and its implications for Spanish companies.
During his speech, Lasheras highlighted six investment opportunities in Japan for Spanish companies, identifying strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, semiconductors, biotechnology, nuclear fusion, and space sector development. These areas represent global growth niches and concrete opportunities for Spanish companies to diversify their international presence and strengthen their collaboration with Japan.
Lasheras also pointed out the current challenges facing Japan, such as moderate inflation, the weak yen, and geopolitical tensions in the Indo-Pacific region, and how these factors may influence investment and international trade decisions. According to the CEJE president, the association continues to be a key space for Spanish companies to access strategic information, contacts, and institutional support to invest and grow in the Japanese market.
With this initiative, CEJE reaffirms its role as a benchmark for strengthening economic relations between Japan and Spain, offering analysis, knowledge, and tools that facilitate the internationalization of Spanish companies and promote bilateral business cooperation.
Jorge Lasheras’ participation in specialized media reinforces CEJE’s mission to act as a bridge between both countries, promoting sustainable business opportunities and supporting the Spanish business community in its international expansion.
