Proton Europe SL, a Spanish company and CEJE partner, has been awarded the FROZEN! dti 2025 Innovation Award, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the international frozen food industry. The announcement took place during the Anuga 2025 trade fair, held in Cologne, where the company presented its innovative magnetic freezing technology.
The CEO of Proton Europe, Manuel Ayllón, and the Director of Operations for Central Europe, Alejandro Ayllón Tulla, represented the company in the final presentation to the jury, prevailing over the other finalists and standing out among more than 70 innovative proposals submitted by companies from around the world.
An innovation that marks a turning point in food freezing
The award recognizes the application in Europe of the Japanese technology Proton Magnetic Freezing, capable of freezing food while optimally preserving its cellular structure, texture, flavor, and nutritional properties. This technology, developed in collaboration with Japanese experts, represents a new milestone for the sector, offering superior quality and a longer shelf life for frozen products.
“Magnetic freezing will decisively mark the future of the frozen food industry in Europe. The time has come to take the next great technological leap,” said Manuel Ayllón upon receiving the award.
