The Círculo Empresarial Japón España (CEJE) celebrated the inauguration of the new production plant of our partner Nippon Gases, which was held on Monday 12 May in the municipality of Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues, in the Polígono La Masia.
The opening ceremony brought together a wide range of institutional and business representatives, with the participation of the Mayor of Sant Cugat, Raül Casado; the Councillor for Economic Promotion, Marc Conesa; and the Consul General of Japan in Barcelona, Akiko Shikata. Nippon Gases was represented by the General Manager of Nippon Gases Iberia, Justin Corcho, and the President of the Japan Spain Business Circle (CEJE), Jorge Lasheras.
The opening of this new plant represents a strategic investment for Nippon Gases, in line with its values of sustainability, energy efficiency and safety in industrial processes. The company’s management highlighted the importance of this location as a key point for industrial growth in southern Catalonia, as well as the potential for establishing partnerships with the local business community. For its part, Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues Town Council welcomed the arrival of this new facility, which represents an opportunity for job creation and for attracting responsible and innovative investment. With this project, the municipality has positioned itself as an important player on the industrial map of the Penedès.
