第2回日西経済・商業・産業対話。

The headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism in Madrid hosted the 2nd session of the Economic, Commercial and Industrial Dialogue between Spain and Japan. This forum was chaired by the Spanish Secretary of State for Trade, Xiana Méndez, and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Fusae Ota. The minutes of this meeting include actions to strengthen collaboration between the two countries in various sectors.

During the meeting, they reviewed the main issues of interest to both delegations in terms of trade, clean energy (with special mention of off-shore wind energy and green hydrogen), the digital sector, cooperation in third markets, economic security and the defense industry.

Spain and Japan have stressed that free trade is the way to ensure growth, prosperity and economic resilience, as well as the means to enhance the green and digital transition. Both countries consider it necessary to maintain collaborative ties at the international and multilateral level. The EU (with Spain holding the presidency of the EU Council) and Japan (with the presidency of the G7) can have joint leadership in this future international architecture.
