日本、第33回ASELE大会のゲスト国

Between August 29 and September 2, the University of Burgos hosted the 33rd International Congress of ASELE (Association for the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language).

Japan was the guest country in an edition that was especially dedicated to the teaching of Spanish in Asia and which analyzed the reality of this important continent for the language and Hispanic cultures.

The first day was entitled “Spanish in Asia: China, Korea, the Philippines, India and Japan” and included presentations by, among others, the director of the Cervantes Institute, Luis García Montero; the general director of Spanish in the World, Guillermo Escribano; Javier Muñoz-Basols, president of ASELE, and the journalist and television correspondent Rosa María Calaf.

Among the experts participating in this conference was Professor Yoshimi Hiroyasu, from Sophia University (Tokyo), who spoke in the block “Spanish in India and Japan” together with Indrani Mukherjee Jawaharlal, from Nehru University (India).

In addition, on August 31 took place the signing of an agreement between ASELE and the Nippon, Spanish and Latin American Academic Confederation (CANELA), represented by Yoshimi Hiroyasu, as well as the conference “Spanish and Japanese: proximities and distances”, by Yuko Morimoto, from the Carlos III University of Madrid.
