[スペイン】サンセバスチャン映画祭で最優秀監督賞を受賞した「百花繚乱」がスペインの映画館で公開されます。

Every time my mother loses her memory, I regain love: a touching story of “love and memory”, entitled “A Hundred Flowers (Hyakka)“, directed by Genki Kawamura, who also wrote the screenplay and is known for being the first Japanese director to win the prestigious Best Director Award in the Official Selection of the San Sebastian Film Festival 2022. The film, starring Masaki Suda and Mieko Harada, will be released in Spain from June 16, 2023.

Japanese director Genki Kawamura has been awarded the Silver Shell for Best Director at the 70th edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival for the film “A Hundred Flowers (Hyakka)”.

Producer, director and screenwriter, Genki Kawamura (Yokohama, Japan. 1979) has produced more than thirty films, including Mamoru Hosoda’s “Bakemono no ko (The Boy and the Beast, 2015),” the first animated feature to compete for the Golden Shell, “Mirai (My Little Sister, 2018)” and “Belle (2021)” and those by Makoto Shinkai, “Kimi no na wa (Your Name, 2016)”, presented at a special screening within In 2018, he directed Duality, which participated in the official short film competition at the Cannes Film Festival. Hyakka, his first feature film, is based on his own novel, published in 2019. the Official Selection at San Sebastian, and “Tenki no ko (Time with You, Perlak, 2019)”.
