USalが日本の協会にメダルを贈呈

The University of Salamanca (USal) recently awarded its medal to the Association of the University of Salamanca in Japan, in gratitude for its contributions to Salamanca Studies.

The ceremony, held in the Aula Salinas and chaired by the rector, Ricardo Rivero, was attended by the Secretary General of the University, María Josefa García Barrado; José-Abel Flores Villarejo, director of the Hispanic-Japanese Cultural Center of the USAL; and Katsuyuki Tanaka and Kikuro Tani, president and vice president of the Association University of Salamanca in Japan, respectively; in addition to the attendance of numerous Japanese and Spanish academic and institutional authorities and students from the Eastern country who are studying at the University.

Katsuyuki Tanaka expressed his gratitude for “honoring our Association in this special year, called ‘Year of Japan 2023′” and considered the presentation of the medal “a prestigious award for which we will continue to work and build bridges for academic and cultural exchange between the two countries”.

An honorary diploma was also presented to Kikuro Tani, vice-president of the Association, in recognition of his contribution to the international prestige, promotion and improvement of the Salamanca institution.
