Sandra Andújar, Chairwoman of Elite Spain, the Spanish Luxury Federation and Jorge Lasheras, Chairman of CEJE, presented the ‘C’ Gold Awards for consular and institutional merit to the Consul General of Japan in Barcelon, the Honorable Mr. Naohito Watanbe. Lasheras took the opportunity to highlight the excellent state of economic and trade relations between Spain and Japan, as well as tourism, which has continued to grow in recent years. “All of these elements, taken together, are a reflection of the convergence, cooperation, and shared efforts of the companies and institutions of both countries,” he explained. For her part, Andújar emphasized the Consul’s role as representative and protector of the economic, cultural, administrative, and legal interests of the citizens of a country living in a foreign city. “The main purpose of this ceremony is to build connecting bridges at the national and international levels,” she added.

In addition to the presence of several international consuls located in Barcelona, the Gala was attended by representatives of major institutions and prestigious business people from Catalonian society, with more than 200 in attendance.
