The Japanese government will declare a new state of alarm in Tokyo, which will extend throughout the entire period of the Olympic Games, to deal with the increase in coronavirus cases, according to local media. They add that the state of alarm will last until August 22, while the competitions will take place from July 23 to August 8. It will be the fourth state of alarm in Japan since the pandemic began.
