ROUND TABLE ON CYBERSECURITY WITH THE MOSSOS D’ESQUADRA (CATALONIAN POLICE FORCE)
On 18 January, 2016, an important delegation representing the member companies of the Japan-Spain Business Circle, accompanied by the Consul General of Japan, visited the central facilities of the autonomous police force (Mossos d’ Esquadra) in Sabadell, where a round table discussion was held on the subject of CORPORATE CYBERSECURITY.
The round table was introduced by the Chief of Police Mr. Albert Batlle, and by the Chief Commissioner of the Mossos d´Esquadra, Mr. Josep Lluis Trapero. Also present was the Head of the general institutional relations commission, Mr. Eduard Sallent.
Leading the discussion during the round table was Mr. Rubén Mora, sub-inspector for the central computer crimes unit, with the assistance of corporate cybersecurity experts Mr. Andreu Bravo, CISO of Gas Natural-Fenosa and Mrs. Selva Mª Orejón, an expert in digital reputation and cyber investigation.
The presenters first discussed several ways in which cybercrime impacts companies, both from a law enforcement standpoint and from the point of view of the company, and then an interesting panel discussion was held, with several presentations on possible cybersecurity scenarios that might have to be faced in the future.
