CEJE holds its 10th Annual General Assembly
The Japan-Spain Business Circle held its 10th Ordinary General Assembly on 21 February at the Círculo Ecuestre in Barcelona.
Among the most important items on the agenda was the election of the new Board of Directors. Only one candidacy was presented, headed by the current president, Mr. Jorge Lasheras, which was unanimously approved. Thus, the new Board of Directors is formed by Mr. Félix Hazen, General Manager of Yamaha Music Europe, as first vice-president; Mr. Antonio Linares Garcés, Sales Director Spain, Portugal and North Africa, Iberia as second vice-president; Mr. Yoshiyuki Matsuoka, Director of Shinto Tsushin Spain as treasurer; Ms. Susana Serra, partner of NTT DATA Spain as secretary; and the following members: Mr. Francois Vilaprinyo, Director of the Board of Directors, Mr. Francois Vilaprinyo, Director of the Board of Directors, Mr. Yoshiyuki Matsuoka, Director of Shinto Tsushin Spain as treasurer; and Ms. Susana Serra, partner of NTT DATA Spain as secretary. Mr. Francois Vilaprinyo, General Manager Spain & Portugal of Casio; Mr. Albert Garrofré, Partner, Lawyer specialised in M&A of Cuatrecasas; Ms. Mª Angeles Juan, President of Fides; Mr. Jordi Puiggené, Managing Director of Hebron; Mr. Alessio Caputo, Chief Business Manager of Hebron; Mr. Alessio Caputo, Chief Business Manager of Fides; and Mr. Alessio Caputo, Managing Director of Hebron. Alessio Caputo, Chief Business Development Officer of JJuan; Mr. Joaquim de Toca, CEO Spain & Portugal of Muji; Mr. José Manuel Rigueiro, Managing Director of Otsuka Pharma; and Mr. Mirko Scaletti, Director West Cluster of Panasonic Iberia.
The Assembly also approved the annual accounts of the association and the activity report for 2023. The President, Mr. Jorge Lasheras, presented the action plan designed for this year, as well as the corresponding budget. The VIII Keicho Awards will be held in Madrid in November. These strategic tools reflect the commitment of the Japan-Spain Business Circle to innovation, sustainable growth and value creation for its members.
The Deputy Consul General of Japan in Barcelona, Ms. Shoko Igarashi, closed the General Assembly with a speech on the ‘Presence and importance of Japanese companies in Spain’.
