V Keicho Awards for Innovation and Technology
In light of the situation caused by the pandemic, the Japan-Spain Business Circle (CEJE) announces the decision to postpone the presentation of the V Keicho Awards for Innovation and Technology, organised each year by the association and due to be held on 26 November in Barcelona.
This decision, made on the basis of the principles of prudence and responsibility, will hold until the presentation of the Awards can take place while guaranteeing all the safety measures, respecting social restrictions and in accordance with the law in force. Having started the tasks necessary to organise this event, CEJE will be able to reactivate it as soon as circumstances allow it.
We also announce the jury’s decision. This year, the winning companies included the subsidiary of the Japanese group AGC in Spain, AGC Pharma Chemicals Europe, for the expansion of its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Manufacturing base in Malgrat de Mar, as well as its collaboration with Novavax in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine. Second prize was awarded to the Basque company Satlantis, in recognition of the development for the first miniature optical camera for Earth observation, which was installed on the Japanese space module on the International Space Station.
