NTT DATA’s Barcelona headquarters, the most sustainable in Europe
NTT DATA’s corporate headquarters in Barcelona recently obtained LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. This is the world’s most prestigious sustainable building standard, developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
Specifically, NTT DATA Barcelona obtained the highest score in Europe in its category, and the second highest in the world. The interior design of these offices is focused on reducing the carbon footprint, promoting the use of clean energy and eliminating plastic, among other objectives. The USGBC analysis found that NTT DATA achieved energy savings of 37.3%, water savings of 46% and recycling of 82% of construction waste. Sustainable materials were also used.
NTT DATA’s score of 91 points, the highest in Europe in its category, demonstrates its leadership in sustainability and its commitment to the environment. According to Alonso Domínguez, Green Deal Partner at NTT DATA, “We are very proud to have achieved this recognition.
