Japan approves a plan for the areas affected by the 2011 disaster

The Japanese Cabinet approved a new reconstruction plan for the areas affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, as well as the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Uno power plant.

The plan indicates that the operations of the Directorate of Reconstruction will be extended 10 years, until 2031. It also designates the five-year period from next April as the second phase of reconstruction and revitalization. The agency estimates that the cost of those efforts will be $ 15 billion.
