Japan allocates about 3,000 million euros in stimuli to covid-19

The Government of Japan today approved an extraordinary item of some 3,000 million euros in economic stimulus measures in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, coinciding with record levels in the expansion of covid-19.

Around 80% of these funds will go to an official campaign to subsidize tourist trips within the country, given the serious crisis that the sector has been experiencing since the Covid-19 spread through Japan as of mid-January. The remaining sum of the assistance package approved today will go to help single-parent, low-income households.
