Euskadi and Japan will intensify their relations this year with the launch of the initiative “Euskadi Japan 2023”, which aims to strengthen their collaboration and generate new projects in the institutional, business, cultural, gastronomic and tourism fields. The program was presented on Tuesday by the lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, and the new ambassador of Japan in Spain, Takahiro Nakamae, in the meeting that both have held this afternoon at the Palace of Ajuria Enea, the Basque Executive reported in a note. At the institutional level, the governors of Fukushima and Mie Prefectures, with whom Euskadi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, are expected to visit Euskadi.
