In this interview we talk with Joaquim de Toca CEO of Spain and Portugal of MUJI

MUJI is the abbreviation of the Japanese Mujirushi Ryohin, which means “quality products without a visible logo”. It was created in Japan in 1980, when the Japanese economy was booming and major European luxury brands began to enter the Japanese market. Employees of the Seiyu department store decided to create products where the brand was not important; products of good quality, good design and at a reasonable price.

Starting out with a shelf with 40 products, MUJI is now an independent company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, with more than 1,000 stores in 32 countries and 7,000 products, making it the Japanese retailer with the largest international presence.
