CEJE congratulates its partner SPINTEACT on celebrating its 50th anniversary
Our partner Spinreact, a company with Japanese capital and a benchmark in the in vitro diagnostics sector, has commemorated its 50th anniversary with a big party at its facilities. In addition to the team and their families, the celebration brought together retirees, suppliers, neighbours of Sant Esteve d’en Bas, as well as local and international personalities.
The slogan of the event was ‘the first 50 years’, highlighting the future projection of the business proposal within the health sector.
The celebration was attended by the Consul General of Japan in Barcelona, Ms. Akiko Shikata; the Mayor of Vall d’en Bas, Mr. Lluís Amat; the President of Toyobo (Spinreact’s parent company), Mr. Sogabe Atsushi; the President of the Japan-Spain Business Circle, Mr. Jorge Lasheras, among other prominent personalities.
The closing ceremony, presented by the well-known Òscar Dalmau, combined elements of Japanese and Catalan tradition, such as the giants or the traditional Japanese taiko drums. Òscar Dalmau highlighted the great human family that makes up Spinreact and the importance of looking to the future with optimism after half a century of success.
One of the most special moments of the day was the presentation and inauguration of the sculpture created by the sculptor Rosa Serra for the celebration. The figure contains a time capsule that will be opened during Spinreact’s centenary and contains objects and messages addressed to the people who are part of the company at that time.
During the event, a catering service was provided by the renowned pastry chef Jordi Ferrer, from the Pastry Shop Ferrer in Olot, recently awarded Garrotxí of the Year. Ferrer prepared a breakfast that fused Catalan and Japanese traditions. He was also in charge of making the 50th anniversary commemorative cake.
At the end of the day, the participants were able to take home the origami cranes that had formed part of the decoration of the event and which, according to Japanese tradition, are a symbol of good luck.
