Barcelona’s Civic Centers delve into Japanese culture
Barcelona City Council, through its Network of Civic Centres, offers this winter an agenda full of events in which Japan is the protagonist. The centers of the district of Sarriá-Sant Gervasi, within its cycle “Què en sabem, del mon”, make known some of the most characteristic features of Japanese culture through elements such as cuisine, dance, songs, etc. In addition, in February and March the cycle of conferences ‘Coneixent el Japó’ by Espai Daruma will take place. They will be about topics about Japan and what we think we know about Japan, the cultural expressions of Japan, from ikebana to manga and video games, and the cinema of Japan, from Kurosawa classics to anime blockbusters. The offer is completed with an extensive list of workshops around cooking, history, language, floral art, painting, bookbinding, ceramics, massages … to make a total immersion in Japan.
