Japan’s government on Tuesday approved a plan to apply new sanctions against Russia and Belarus, including a ban on the export of material for refining oil, in response to the invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to information gathered by the Japanese television network NHK, the package includes the freezing of two entities, including a private company with ties to the military industry, as well as the freezing of assets of 20 people, including several officials.
