The UAB has inaugurated the Office of Japanese Studies, a center whose objective is to promote the study and research of Japanese language and culture in our country, with the recognition of the Japan Foundation, an institution attached to the government of Japan. The UAB —the university with the most Japanese students in Spain and the first to host the official Japanese language exams— is the first university in Spain with a Sakura Network office for Japanese studies, as well as the only one that hosts the headquarters of the official cultural institutions of China, South Korea and Japan.
