Nissan and Waseda University (Japan) test a recycling process for electric motors Nissan and Waseda University (Japan) test a recycling process for electric motors The automaker Nissan and Waseda University announced this Friday the start from trials in Japan of a jointly developed recycling process that efficiently recovers high-purity foreign-earth compounds from motor magnets in electrified vehicle engines. The objective of the tests is to allow the practical application of the new process in the mid-2020s, as explained by the Japanese brand.
