Japanese culture takes center stage at Madrid’s Japan Weekend

On February 11 and 12 took place in Madrid the largest fair in Spain on anime, manga, Japanese culture, video games and all activities aimed at the thousands of fans of otaku culture that gathers every year. Japan Weekend Madrid took place in three pavilions of the IFEMA fairgrounds. The event counted with the participation of numerous companies, both Japanese and Spanish, related to this theme: Nintendo, Japan Weekend Anime, Odaiba editions and Bernina, among many others. During the two-day event, numerous activities such as concerts, origami or calligraphy workshops, Asian food masterclass, exhibition and sale of Japanese paintings or video game tournaments were held. Japan Weekend takes place throughout the year in different Spanish cities: Madrid, Bilbao, Barcelona and Valencia among them.
