CEJE members’ lunch with the Spanish Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Íñigo de Palacio España

On October 24th, the Japan-Spain Business Circle (CEJE) organized a lunch at the Equestrian Circle of Barcelona with the Spanish Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Íñigo de Palacio España, in which a representation of Spanish and Japanese companies, members of CEJE, participated.

The meeting was attended by Jorge Lasheras, President of CEJE; Albert Garrofé, Partner at Cuatrecasas; Yoshiyuki Matsuoka, Director of Shinto Tsushin; Marc Guimerá, Partner at NTT Data; Mª Ángeles Juan, President of Fides; and Elisabeth Cañigueral, President of Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods.

During the meeting, several strategic issues were discussed, aimed at promoting the presence of Spanish companies in Japan and deepening bilateral collaboration. The new geostrategic situation of Japan in the world, the excellent moment of institutional relations between both countries, and the success of the Spanish participation in the recent Osaka Expo were analyzed.

Likewise, the attendees agreed that the current international situation offers new opportunities to reinforce the economic and business presence of Spain in Japan, consolidating CEJE’s work as a platform for dialogue and business cooperation between the two countries.

With initiatives like this, CEJE reaffirms its commitment to strengthening business and cultural ties between Spain and Japan, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the generation of new synergies.
