The exhibition ‘Kimonobata’ premieres at the Anticuarium in Seville
From February 1st, you can see Manuel Fernández’s 17 designs, which fuse the flamenco tail gown with the Japanese kimono.
‘Kimonobata’ is also an exhibition of plastic arts, since each of the 17 mannequins that make it up has been intervened by a Spanish or Japanese artist who has used the most diverse techniques, from digital printing to marker to acrylic paint or recycled plastic material. The designer decided to create a collection that fused kimonos with coats and gave them in white to a selection of Spanish and Japanese artists – painters, sculptors, photographers, designers and installation specialists – to intervene.
