CEJE holds a meeting with the President of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce to strengthen business cooperation between Catalonia and Japan

On 8 May, the Japan Spain Business Circle (CEJE) held an institutional meeting with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, as part of the preparations for the trip that the Chamber will make to Tokyo and Osaka during the last week of May, led by the President of the Catalan Government.

The purpose of the meeting was to analyse joint proposals and explore new avenues of collaboration for this institutional mission, as well as to identify synergies that will enable the network of contacts to be expanded and new opportunities to be generated for Catalan companies with a presence or interest in the Japanese market. Both organisations agreed on the importance of working together to maximise the scope and impact of this initiative.

The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce was represented by its President, Mr. Josep Santacreu; Mr. Enric Jové, Director of Institutional and Corporate Strategy; Ms. Anna Teixidó, Director of Institutional Relations, and Ms. Berta Pérez, Director of International Relations. The CEJE delegation was made up of its President, Mr. Jorge Lasheras, accompanied by senior representatives of the partner companies Casio, Cuatrecasas, Fanuc, Fides, Muji, Ricoh and Shinto Tsushin, all of which are active in both markets.

With this meeting, CEJE reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting business cooperation between Spain and Japan and to support companies in their internationalisation process, contributing to the strengthening of bilateral economic relations.
