On February 7th, the Japan-Spain Business Circle (CEJE), together with the Japan National Tourism Office (JNTO), organized a seminar exclusively for business executives and managers in the residence of the Consul General of Japan.<\/p>\n
During the seminar the differential advantages and benefits of choosing Japan as an incentive trip and MICE destination were presented. During the different presentations by Mr. Naohito Watanabe, Consul General of Japan in Barcelona, Mr. Jorge Lasheras, President of CEJE, and Mr. Kenji Inoue, Executive Director of JNTO Madrid, topics such as security, gastronomy, economy, activities, examples of business incentives, services and \u2018unique venues’<\/em> in Japan were presented.<\/p>\n During his presentation, Jorge Lasheras stressed that “CEJE<\/em> carries out projects and activities concerningtopics that interest Japan and Spain, such as promoting networking, promoting trade, investments, tourism and cultural exchanges between Japan and Spain. In this sense, promoting Japan as a more attractive destination, as a MICE destination, is part the work we\u2019re doing to boost business interaction between Spain and Japan and to strengthen the mutual benefit and approach between companies in both countries.”<\/em>The President of CEJE added that “unilateral economic relations between the two countries are on the right track. Spanish exports to Japan have doubled between 2009 and 2017, reaching 2.5 billion euros this year with the participation of almost 9000 Spanish companies. On the other hand, imports from Japan have continued to grow steadily since 2013<\/em>\u201d.
