The Japan-Spain Business Circle (CEJE)<\/strong> has been invited by the organizers of Expoquimia to close the Japan Day<\/strong>, one of the most important international activities of the largest chemical industry exhibition in southern Europe. The event will take place on June 4, 2026<\/strong> at the International Meeting Point at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran V\u00eda venue. <\/p>\n\n

The closing speech will be given by Jorge Lasheras, President of CEJE<\/strong>, entitled “The chemical sector, the driving force behind Japanese investment in Spain”<\/em>. In it, Lasheras will highlight the lasting imprint that Japanese chemical companies have left on the Spanish economy over almost three decades: their transversal presence in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, process engineering and specialty chemicals, their contribution to exports and their integration into the national industrial fabric. <\/p>\n\n
