2) Purpose of processing your personal data and legal basis.
THE JAPAN – SPAIN BUSINESS CIRCLE will process the data provided by you, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter, the “GDPR”), Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (herein after, the “LOPDGDD”), as well as other legal or regulatory norms that may affect, develop or substitute previous ones in this area for the following purposes:
a. In the event you are a member of the CEJE or you provide your data through the website in order to register, contact us or subscribe to our newsletter:
- To provide our services, manage the registration or cancellation of your membership of the CEJE, keep you informed about the association’s activities, its services and events through the sending of emails, notices and newslettes and, generally, manage the relationship between the member and the CEJE, including the management of acces to the updated list of members by others members (consisting of (i) name and surname of individual business members; (ii) trade name of legal entity members; (iii) name and surname of the representatives -natural persons- of the legal entities; (iv) contact email addresses provided by each of the members; and (v) contact postal address for each of the members).
- The legal basis for processing your data for the purposes indicated is the provision of your consent, which you grant by accepting this privacy policy. The consent granted by you may be revoked at any time by sending a written notice to that effect to the email address indicated in section 1) above.
b. In the event you are a visitor to the website:
- To provide the information service for which this website is managed, in accordance with the cookies policy.
- The legal basis for processing your data for the purposes indicated is the legitimate interest of the CEJE, the data being adequate, relevant and restricted to what is necessary for the provision of the service.
- This privacy policy may be modified for various reasons, so we advise that users check it regularly.
- In the event that the changes are significant, users will be notified of the new privacy policy through a notice on the website itself when they access it.
3) Disclosure of your data to third parties.
Your personal data may be disclosed to trusted CEJE third parties for the development of the aims of the association and its management.
Furthermore, certain IT, hosting and security service providers may access your data in so far as access is necessary for that purpose.
Moreover, the duty of members to treat information from other members to which they may have access through the CEJE as strictly confidential, is established. Members are also obliged to use this information solely within the scope and for the fulfilment of the corporate purpose of the CEJE, and not to divulge it, reproduce it or make it available to third parties without the prior written consent of the CEJE. The duty of secrecy and non-disclosure will remain even after their membership of the CEJE has ended.
4) Your rights.
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, data portability and restriction of the data processing by writing to the addresses indicated in section 1), stating the right you wish to exercise and enclosing a photocopy of your national identity document or any other equivalent official document to verify your identity.
You may also send any complaints concerning the processing of your data to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.agpd.es).
5) Security measures.
The CEJE undertakes to implement the technical and organisational measures necessary in order to guarantee the adequate protection of your data, in accordance with applicable law. However, on a medium such as the internet, malicious actions by third parties may occur, although the CEJE implements all the means at its disposal to prevent such actions.
6) Duration of storage of your personal data.
The CEJE will hold your personal data for as long as you do not withdraw the consent you granted, this being understood as the cancellation of membership. You will have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent granted prior to your withdrawal.
