ソニーとTSMCが70億ドルを投資して日本にチップ工場を建設

Japanese tech giant Sony and the world’s largest semiconductor foundry company, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), will jointly build a new chip production facility chips in western Japan, reports the Nikkei portal.

The joint project foresees an investment valued at 7,000 million dollars, half of which will be provided by the Japanese government, and aims to alleviate the serious shortage of semiconductors that affects the automotive and electronic devices sector.
