シスメックス 家次尚社長がスペインとポルトガルを訪問
This September, the President and CEO of the health technology company Sysmex, Mr. Hisashi Ietsugu, visited the facilities and offices of the company and its customers in the Iberian Peninsula. The main objective of this trip was to attend the inauguration of the Portuguese subsidiary of Sysmex in Porto last Friday, September 30th, and previously Mr. Ietsugu visited Barcelona.
His visit to Barcelona, on September 27th, 28th and 29th, consisted of visiting Sysmex’s offices in the city, located in Sant Just, and visiting various clients of the company in the region, such as the Vall d’Hebron hospital and the Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona. In Porto, he also had the opportunity to visit the Sao Joao hospital in Porto.
CEJE supported Sysmex in the organization of a meal last Wednesday, September 28th, at the official residence of the Consul General of Japan in Barcelona, Mr. Yasushi Sato. The lunch was attended by the President and CEO of Sysmex Corporation along with Mr. Matsui, Member of the Managing Board and Senior Executive Officer of Sysmex Corporation, Mr. Yuki Hyogu, Managing Director and Senior Executive Officer of Sysmex Europe, Mr. Arndt Knestel, Managing Director of Sysmex Spain and Portugal, and Ms. Yuko Saruta, Senior Manager, R&D Division. The meal was also attended by Ms. Shoko Igarashi, Deputy Consul General, and Mr. Jorge Lasheras, President of CEJE.
At this meal, the Consul General was kind enough to receive the President of Sysmex along with the rest of the Sysmex corporate team, who were able to enjoy a delicious meal, and the Sysmex team was able to talk with the Consul General and the Deputy Consul General in an exclusive and rewarding meeting.

Mr. Ietsugu joined Sysmex Corporation in 1986, when it was still known as TOA Medical Electronics. He made an instant impression, and a decade later was named CEO of the company. His track record since then has shown great leadership and direction to the Kobe-based company, with milestones as important as the 142% increase in Sysmex Corporation’s turnover since 2010, reaching €2.79 billion at the end of the fiscal year ended March 2022.
